How to Change a Favicon on Blogger

Hello, bloggers!

Did you know that you can incorporate your blog's signature style into dozens of places besides your actual web page?

Other than simply using certain colors, certain fonts, certain graphics etc. in your blog's sidebars, pages, header, posts and footer, you can continue this lovely flow of epic-Animal-Jam-brand-ness into an unlikely space:

Have you ever noticed those little icons that often appear next to web pages in browsers (Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox etc.)?

That little icon is a great way to customize your site further and eliminate all amateur aspects of your blog (having a default Blogger favicon is a huge, yet common, blogging mistake!).

But how do you change your blog's favicon?

Well my friends, I'm here to show you how...

1. Open up your Blogger Dashboard.

2. Click the title of the blog on which you would like to add a favicon.

3. Go to the Layout tab in the menu on the lefthand side of the Blogger interface.

4. In the top left of your blog's layout, you should see the following:

5. Click Edit.

6. Upload a square image that does not exceed 100KB to use as your favicon. To find a great favicon, check out this page, this page and this page on Animal Jam Graphic Central, and to resize graphics or images to become a square, check out PicMonkey and Pixlr.

7. Save your work.

8. View your site within the next couple of hours/days to see if your favicon showed up! Note: it sometimes takes up to 4 days for a favicon to show up. Don't be worried if it takes a little while.

Do you know how to change the favicon on weebly?

I've never actually owned a Weebly site, but here's my guess:
1. Go to some sort of "SEO" or "Settings" tab that you have in your blog editor.
2. Change your favicon using the similar instruction above.
I think I sort of understand how to change the favicon on Weebly, so if you need a more in-depth tutorial with pictures and detailed instructions etc. then just ask! :)
